teRra “on the go” round tin – 4 handmade watercolour paints – “moonshadow”

Description

This listing is for one full set of 4 handmade watercolour paints in a ceramic paint palette inside a silver grey screw top aluminium tin. Small round A size.  The tin features a little clay logo on the top.  Each set comes in a cotton drawstring bag with the creative soul emblem.

THE PAINTS

This set features a lovely neutral palette of paints.  Twiggy is my version of a lovely warm Sepia and Nocturne is a gorgeous dark moody grey similar to Paynes Grey.  Magick is simply that, a gorgeous muted warm grey that moves and changes as it dries.  Shadow is made from Grapite, the same as pencils are, so it works wonderfully as a simple black on your pencil drawings, or anywhere you want a matte black, it also has a tiny bit of sparkle the same as graphite in a pencil has.

All the colours apart from Shadow are granulating colours and will move and separate on your paper as they dry, they really are magical to use!

The four paints included in this tin/palette are:

Twiggy (granulating) – PBk11 Mars Black, PBr7 Raw Umber G.
Nocturne (granulating) – PB29G Ultramarine Blue, PBr7 It. Bt. Sienna
Magick (granulating) – PW6.1 Titanium Grey, PBk11 Mars Black
Shadow – PBk10 Graphite

My handmade paints are hand-mulled on a glass slab in small batches, using the highest quality lightfast pigments, sourced from reputable professional art suppliers.  I only use the finest quality artist grade ingredients in my formulations, which comprises of the pigment, pure Gum Arabic and vegetable glycerine as the binder.

THE PALETTE & TIN

Each palette is created using off white clay and is fired in a kiln with a semi-gloss white glaze with brown speckles on top.  The speckles are random and will be uniquely different on each piece as they are individually made, so some variation can occur. Your item will be as close to the images shown that is possible with my handmade process.

This palette is called the “small round A” size.
Each round “well” is approx.  1.7 ml in volume. Slightly less than a traditional rectangular plastic half pan (2 millilitres).

The set includes a hand painted swatch card that is laminated for protection, with all of the colours listed on the reverse side.
