teRra “on the go” round tin – 6 handmade watercolour paints – “kaleid-o-scope” single pigments

Description

This listing is for one full set of 6 handmade watercolour paints in a ceramic paint palette inside a silver grey screw top aluminium tin. Large round 6 size. The tin features a little clay logo on the top.  Each set comes in a cotton drawstring bag with the creative soul emblem.

THE PAINTS

This set features single pigment paints in each well, for those who like to mix their own colours from the basic primaries.  It includes 2 granulating colours.

The six paints included in this tin/palette are:

Quinacridone Violet – PV19
Pyrrole Red – PR254
Benzymidazole Yellow – PY154
Phthalo Green – PG7
Ultramarine Blue – PB29 – granulating
Ultramarine Violet – PV15 – granulating

You can make so many other colours with this basic set of 6 paints.  I put this set together specifically so that it is all you need to mix almost any colour you could desire. The big grid in the photo gallery shows you just a sample of what is possible.

My handmade paints are hand-mulled on a glass slab in small batches, using the highest quality lightfast pigments, sourced from reputable professional art suppliers.  I only use the finest quality artist grade ingredients in my formulations, which comprises of the pigment, pure Gum Arabic and vegetable glycerine as the binder.

THE PALETTE & TIN

Each palette is created using off white clay and is fired in a kiln with a semi-gloss white glaze with brown speckles on top.  The speckles are random and will be uniquely different on each piece as they are individually made, so some variation can occur. Your item will be as close to the images shown that is possible with my handmade process.

Large round 6 size.
Each round “well” is approx.  1.9-2 ml in volume. The same volume as a traditional rectangular plastic half pan (2 millilitres).

The set includes a hand painted swatch card that is laminated for protection, with all of the colours listed on the reverse side.
